ALBUM DESCRIPTION
"Eyes" is a global electro experience. This is Bob Zopp's debut release on AMAdea Records. This highly anticipated clubsonic masterpiece is sure to capture the attention of his ever-growing fan base worldwide. The hour long release blends progressive house, globalbeat and electro music with influences form Eastern Europe, Asia and The Mid East. The 6 track CD features the single, "Eyes", winner of the 2008 Computer Space Electronic Music Award (Sofia), as well as the 2009 remix version, "Eyes (deeper red remix)".
It is always mind-boggling when you hear electronic-based music done so masterfully. It may be that electronic music is sort of the untouched final frontier to most of us "legit" musicians, because learning to do what Bob Zopp have done on this CD is like practically learning a whole new field.
Eyes is a solid mix of classic Indian elements fused with electronic feeling - this effort is, at times, the opposite - we hear the dominant sounds of the production and electronics over the influence of the same elements. The emphasis shifts at times. Dreamlike, exotic, erotic, sensual, spiritual, are all words that describe this album. Assembling the sounds and soundscapes on every track took intensive creativity and if you are going to listen carefully the whole title, you will most probably realize that you had stumbled upon a new tier of studio production and aesthetic precision. This is immediately apparent in the audio quality, which far eclipses most of the rival releases in the same genre to date. More importantly, it's noticeable in the sequencing and mastering of each perfectly-layered sound. Listen on a solid, high-end system, and all the textures will open up and dance across the room in perfect balance.
Entire CD is somewhat of a mystical journey, even when certain tracks are more groove and beat oriented. Also, there is much use of actual Indian instruments and percussion that really take the listener beyond the stars. Bob Zopp took the beautiful Indian culture and metaphorically shine it through a modern prism, giving us this magnificent output.
