BIOGRAPHY |
Peter Daskalov was born in 1964 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1977 he formed his first rock band “The Argonauts” and till 1982 he played with different bands trying out different music styles like pop, jazz and rock. In 1983 he started playing American country music and was greatly influenced by Don Williams and Willie Nelson. In the period 1985-1989 he was a member of the popular “ATLAS” band, which at that time played mainly country and blues. When the group changed the style to punk, he quit the band and in the following years he played mainly individually, as well as with some bands like “Alexandrov Ragtime Band”, “Bad neighbors”, “Crossroads”, “PeterDanny Band”, “4Give”, as well as others. In the last ten years he became an author of some of the most famous gospel songs in Bulgaria “Otche Nash” (Our Father); “Ako” (If), “Gospod Caruva” (God Reigns), to mention a few. In the period 2005 – 2007 he released two individual albums – "A Wonderful Dream" and "Falling in Love". Peter had participated in quite a few radio and TV shows, as well as some festivals in Germany, Macedonia and Hungary. He has participated in some of the biggest European Country Music festivals in Berlin and Koetz, Germany, where he had a great success. His song “Little Boy” climbed the charts in the Truck Radio Europe, escalating to number two for more than two months. His latest album "A Wonderful Dream" was released in 2007. The style ranges from country to jazz in an acoustic version. Peter plays the acoustic guitar, bass, drums, and lead vocals as well. Stamen Yanev - piano, Mihail Shishkov - pedal steel and piano, Emmanuel Totev - sound engineer, all of them very good friends as well. He works on a new album "Rest in Time" to be released in 2010. The style is country rock!!!
