Belgrade band Alfapop was founded in 2008 by 4 multi-talented people, with an array of musical experience in various musical styles. Their wish was to breathe fresh energy into the Serbian musical landscape.

The name Alfapop derives from the band's desire to create a powerful and compelling sound, alpha referring to the most aggressive and prominent form of pop. With a combination of powerful melodic vocal lines and energetic rhythm, the band strives to achieve this sound through the creation of power pop, the strongest sound in pop.

Alfapop recorded their first album in the ALPHA music studio in Novi Sad, Serbia. Two videos were released for the songs "Sati"/"Hours" and "Hocu jos"/"I want more" and both made quite a success on local and regional TV Networks and on MTV Adria. Band participated in the reality show "Rat bendova" (War of the bands) on Bosnian TV OBN, which brought to good exposure in surrounding as well as in their own country. In a short period of time, Alfapop had numerous performances from gigs in small clubs to shows on big stages and TV appearances.
